Trauma
BCC Perspective on Trauma Recovery (With Gratitude to Sebern Fisher)The most pervasive cause of trauma is profound neglect. Trauma Recovery will heal the Brain, Body and Soul
In the process of healing, the state of the therapist is critical to heal or to hurt. A "loaded" therapist will transfer his/her emotional garbage to clients. The same principle applies to family and friends relationships.
Trauma Recovery is not the final destination, the goal is to enhance relatedness and attachment. The therapist will assist clients to recognize a new sense of self, validate and mirror changes and to support them in adjusting to their new found identity and new sense of self.
Fear is the core factor in what many now call disorders of the mind. The regulation of fear will generate feelings of empathy and sadness over wrongdoing. There is a direct correlation between attachment failure and a state of fear. Fear undermines the sense of self and the reality of the other. Among the far based disorders are : Personality Disorders, Sociopathy, Autism, and susceptibility to PTSD. PTSD is a brain in the grip of fear.
The absence of touch, eye-to-eye interaction, facial and emotional communication causes attachment failure and spiritual damage. Fear is a core emotion in psychopathology (Le Doux (p. 130,1996). Fear is a significant factor in all personality and mood disorders.
