- What is the first step to receive online therapy?
The first thing you will have to do is to fill the application form. This form will give our counseling team an initial assessment of your problem. That's all you'll have to do at first. As a follow up, we will need to know more about you, but that will come after we take a look on your application form.
- Can I receive counseling while remaining anonymous?
The short answer is no. The long answer is to inform you that we follow a strict code of ethics. Your personal information is considered confidential material and will not be discussed with anyone outside your counseling team and yourself. Go here to see a legal exception to this rule. There are some anonymous, free, mental health screenings offered by our sister site, www.breakthrucounseling.com. These screenings, however, are only meant to help you on deciding whether or not you should seek counseling.
- How many sessions do I have to have? Can I have only one session?
There is no set number of sessions anyone must have. You can very well have only one session or several. You can also have sessions at different times. At any rate, you are always in control on how many sessions to have. Of course every case is different. Certain situations are much easier to deal with than others: A young man who needs help choosing a college is not in the same level of need as someone with depression. Depending on your situation, it is possible that your therapists recommend more sessions, but the decision to continue or stop is always yours.
- How much will it cost me?
Charges are per session. The price for every session is $90.00. A break-down of what's included in the initial session is the following:
- An e-mail sent to you with the therapist's initial evaluation of your form.
- A reply email from you.
- The therapist's response to your email.
- I am not in the United States how much will it cost me?
Our prices were structured as to make it affordable for people all over the world to receive quality counseling. The fee is the same, no matter what country you live. We do not charge you in your local currency. Conversion from US dollars to you local currency is done automatically by your bank.
- What form of payment do you accept?
The easiest way to pay is by credit card. If you however prefer to pay by check or money order you can do so. Bare in mind though, that we will have to wait for the check/money order to get to us before service is rendered.
- Do you accept my insurance plan?
You are responsible for your bill and for recovering the insurance reimbursement. At your written request (Request for Insurance Letter Form), the Counseling Center will supply you with a standard letter to assist you in this process.« back to top
